Besides Bebo Valdés, the Cuban musicians are Pedro Martínez, a singer and percussionist who has played with Paquito D'Rivera and Gonzalo Rubalcaba; Amadito Valdés, known as the percussionist (timbales) player on Buena Vista Social Club; Germán Velzasco, a former Irakere member with a successful solo career; and Yaroldi Abreu, percussionist from Chucho Valdés' Afro-Cuban Messengers.
